Interesting mention saying "Since game design is simply decision making, you can actually design a game in your head." We've talked about this before, but the word 'game' is subjective. I find it odd the author remarks designing as the decision of making. Wouldn't design be the act of creating? The decision to make is another issue. One can decide to create, but not follow through- that wouldn't be game design.

"Good game design happens when you view your game from as many perspectives as possible." I agree, I do believe designers should approach the games from every aspect. When I designed my game (an online office used for tarot), I approached it with the POV of my clients. Something else I found interesting was when: "Design principles will come from everywhere because design is everywhere, and design is the same everywhere." was mentioned. I think there are fundamental aspects to design, I don't know if I think design is the same everywhere. Designs differ unless we're talking about rules. But I never thought about design being everywhere. In that case, you can say even words on a page are designed.
